It's actually worse with lenacapavir, because Truvada was determined to be noninferior to Descovy and remained first-line, whereas Gilead will push like hell to ensure that doesn't happen again with Sunlenca, so their $$brand name$$ drug becomes the (only) first-line PrEP drug

I deleted and reposted the first post to be clearer because there *is* a version of lenacapavir that is part of a treatment regimen for HIV in patients where other drugs have not worked. That’s sold as “sunlenca” and appears to be covered by CVS.
