After its “guest performance” in the @forumwissen.bsky.social, #Sunrise_III ’s secondary mirror unit is back at #mpsgoettingen and has been integrated
into the #telescope. Cool selfies like in the right photo (taken without the secondary in place) are now no longer possible…. 😊 ☀️🔭

Sustainability or true love? Scientists at @MPSGoettingen have turned the box that carried Sunrise I’s & II’s postfocal instrumentation into a unique piece of furniture. This is real flight hardware that has traveled from Sweden to Canada by stratospheric balloon! @Sunrise_III

During his visit at #MPSGoettingen, Prof. Dr. Metin Tolan, president of @uniGoettingen, toured our cleanrooms and saw the flight spare of @ESASolarOrbiter’s #SolarOrbiterPHI instrument, the @Sunrise_III telescope - and many other missions and projects. Thanks for a great visit!

It's #IMPRS Information Week: Earlier today we gave an online tour of the institute to the applicants for our IMPRS PhD positions. Unlike in other years, the tour included inside views of the clean rooms. They are currently hearing about #Sun #WeAreAllSolarOrbiter #Sunrise_III.
