Further to this .... Comparing the latest boxoffice releases from DC and Marvel. Supergirl has been tepid, to put it mildly, while Spiderman romps to new records.

How? Why?

DC had the characters i grew up with. Superman. Batman. How have they got it so very wrong, where Marvel has smashed it?

This is astonishing.

Personally I have not been a massive fan of the Spiderman movies and was strongly considering skipping this one entirely, but holy heck it is smashing up the boxoffice. It's 4th all time on the US boxoffice, already, after 2 weeks, and ranks in the top 10 GLOBAL ALL TIME!!

I enjoy it because I’m a nerd who likes to track/categorize things.

Within the last year it started becoming a culture war without any nuance. Superman might be where that started?
