Honestly the last time I truly *LOVED* this game was the 2nd marvel season (I don't remember chapter/season). Last time I grinded a battle pass was when the Superman 2025 skin was in it. I even got gifted the current pass and I'm not even level 40 because I just keep getting bored, it's odd.

This is exactly how I felt when I saw Starlin draw Superman.
With apologies, cos I love his work now, but Curt Swan's Superman looked so old fashioned to me at the time I couldn't engage with it on any kind of real gut level.

I find the Superman episode a little weird, more so Superman acts more like Batman being so abrasive at first, and Batman is the more level headed and open guy, but it’s definitely a unique reversal. But still this Superman feels right out of the man of steel movie which is eh

see I don't think Smallville really counts because while on one level yeah it was going to drip feed you him becoming superman over however many seasons, you did have a core weekly show in there right from the start which was "some guy has weird meteor rock powers and needs to be stopped!"

One of my first games ever was Rascal on PS1, I played big rigs and superman 64, I spent too long wrestling with mario 64, I have played dysfunctional games. Some games can be bad on a design level. Some games can do something bad and be working as intended.
