I disagree. This was the most exhausting thing. They were doing so much work to come up with a DS subtitle, when we just would have remembered them as [Game Title] DS anyways. Like with Superman64 and Castlevania64

Superman 64: The Restrictions Behind the Worst Game Ever Made | 8 Bit Basement
Superman 64 is called the worst game ever. The real reason is a strict license that created the tutorial rings and killed a finished sequel.

Superman 64 is remembered as the worst game ever made. I dug into why: the license restrictions, the infamous rings, the reviews, sales numbers that do not match the reputation, and the bankruptcy that followed.

Getting stoked for the new #Superman movie? Us too. That's why we went back to check out #Superman64 and see what all of the fuss is about. Who would have thought that the ring sections are the good parts?
The Free Cheese Episode 617: Superman: The New Superman Adventures
This week on The Free Cheese, no really, the rings are the good part. We make some Spider-Man comics to start the show before diving into one of video gaming's most notorious releases. In time for the new DC Studios release of Superman, we play one of the Man of Steel's key video games to see how bad it really is.

i can admit it was revolutionary at the time for console shooters specifically.
my reaction is just how I feel about it as someone who's first console was the n64 and GoldenEye being one of the only games she had for it (in a bundle of ones my folks grabbed)
and i always put it in superman64 tier

The "Superman: The New Superman Adventures" video game, commonly referred to as "Superman 64," was originally released on this day (May 31) back in 1999. This absolutely baffling video game is infamously considered one of the worst ever created. #SupermanTAS #Superman64 #Superman #VideoGames
