Deputy Secretary Robert Long and Commissioner Chris Chamnis briefed lawmakers on an optional surgical‑network program made available via the state's PBM contract (CareM/CARM in presentation materials). They described bundled pricing with member zero cost share, warranties for post‑operative complications, 11 participating locations so far, and staff said CareM was engaged through the PBM vendor election process; legislators expressed concern about impacts on in‑state hospital volume and compliance with any‑willing‑provider rules.
