Note from me. Last year because of excessive exports of gasoline spearheaded by none other than the same Surgutneftegaz Russian entered the summer with insufficient stocks. I see they have learned nothing.

The fire at the Tver fuel depot after the Ukrainian strikes on it has left the rural parts of the region and small towns without fuel. The gas stations in these towns are either independent or owned by Surgutneftegaz which operated the depot. Their gas stations are closed.

Similar sanctions were introduced in January against Gazpromneft and Surgutneftegaz. However, those companies only suffered losses for a couple of months before finding workarounds.
