Yeah, there are sweetcorn vendors all evenly spaced along the main shopping thoroughfare in the city. I saw 7 on Saturday and an 8th on the way. Everyone is suspicious because that's objectively too much corn. It would be too much anything.

Was never really a Skips fan (and don't remember thier sweetcorn phase), but they do salt and vinegar flavour now, and they're rather lush 😋

For a very short time in the 80s, KP released sweetcorn-flavoured Skips and they were *very* weird.

That’s how much sweet corn is eaten every year at the Hoopeston Natl Sweetcorn Festival.
& those bushel baskets ~ when art became artisan & basket weaving was a proud occupation & loading a basket with ears was life in the slow lane…

And no you CAN'T grow just anything on cropland. There are a wide variety of factors to consider, but the main one is that animals eat stuff that we can grow quickly and cheaply on almost any land. Feed corn is way WAY easier to produce at scale than sweetcorn. You don't have to process either.
