I think a giant swimathon???
What a nice wet day for a Swimathon. I think the sky got confused and thought we were doing it outside? My start time will be some time after midday. Wish us luck.

Thank you for everyone’s donations. Your support was much appreciated. 50 meter lanes are a lot longer than 25 meter ones - unsurprisingly. But I did the 2km - in under an hour as I had expected. Yay. Still recovering.

I will be swimming for the charity Movember for Men's Health on the 29th November at a swimathon. I can choose my own distance so it's what I can manage. My is aim 2km, which is "only" 40 length in a 50m pool. That will probable exhaust me for several days though.

Last year my friend’s beautiful little boy was diagnosed with a terminal genetic metabolic condition. He died two months later, aged only 14months.
Today there is a charity swimathon in his memory, aiming to raise money into research for mitochondrial disease.

I'm swimming 5K tonight as part of Swimathon 25, raising money for Marie Curie & Cancer Research. I'm doing it with a heavy heart in memory of these two amazing women who were recently taken far too soon by that wretched disease.
