The WNBA is seeing something I've seen over and over in other sports (swimmming, track and field) in which people decide that they can declare certain athletes trans simply because they think so.
What do you do when you've launched a moral panic about transgender athletes in the WNBA, but there has never been an active trans player in the league? Simple: you start a conspiracy theory about every single woman on the court.
There Are No Trans Women in the WNBA, so Right-Wingers Are Making Some Up
As culture warriors continue to stoke the flames of a gender panic in professional sports, wild conspiracy theories are coming into play.

Not an uncommon type of sign near sheep. We used to have similar signs up on the farm along the river paddocks, as we knew people would go walking/swimmming and some would let dogs off

So @distaff and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary today with dinner at Pappa Flock, home of the chicken tender, and brainstorming the particulars of a musical about Harold Holt, the Aussie PM went missing while swimmming in the ocean. Working titles:
Harold!
We Named a Pool After Him

Science fun on our walk back from roller skating discussing whether you could kill a person by pushing them into a swimmming pool full of tic tacs.

I've often wondered if that practice really makes a practical difference or is just so embedded in competitive swimmming culture that no one wants to break with it.

Swimmming lessons scrambled.
I and dozens of other parents throughout the city have awakened early to compete for spots by pressing a button really fast.
The group lessons are less competitive, but I have two kids and they like to learn together in a private lesson. All gone in under a minute.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... the beaver “created a new lodge by a toilet block next to a playing field” after swimmming 5 miles along the Dorset coast. I don’t think it needed to be “rescued” but probably not the best spot to build a dam.
Beaver rescued near toilet block in Dorset returned to wild
The animal is believed to have swum five miles along the Dorset coast, the National Trust says.
