Half Marathon tomorrow, Despite the nerves, the anticipation I get this sense of calm and peace
I don't have multiple simultaneous thoughts. My focus is just on running, beating that one opponent, that voice that says you cant & well fuck that voice

#NYE is a time for reflection. So, I was thinking about my mate, @chrisr2001.bsky.social, and standing around in N. Sydney (Oval) for 26 miles of pain. Foo Fighters "Times Like These" was, well, made for times like those. Thanks, Chris, mate. #RightArmInTheFire #Sydney2025.

Legs still basically functional. Thanks very much to the people of #Sydney for #Sydney2025. What a great #42k, and the weather gods smiled upon us too. Iconic course locations, superb volunteers (thanks everyone), nice placards, and excellent organisation. A new world major is born.

Canoe Slalom World Championships are at Penrith in September and October this year! Just picked up a ticket for the whole event for $126. That's $21 a day, with both Jess and Noemie Fox (and Evy Leibfarth from Davidson 😊) set to compete. An absolute steal.

And yes, there will be kayak cross.

Should be training, but, as is the modern idiom, I'm focusing instead on the run playlist. So far I've got "Meu Fado meu" (Mariza) for a gentle start. It would be culturally inappropriate not to finish with "Can't Get You Out of My Head" (Kylie). So, just another 42k's worth. #Sydney2025 #MusicSky ✊

Sydney minus 26 days and counting. Reasonably on edge about the run, now. Seemed a speck in the distance for so long. No more. The bike trainer has chosen - slightly teleological there, clearly - to malfunction this morning. Hope it's not an omen. #Sydney2025 #42k

Training update. "100 days". Terrified now. This is also the start of the alcohol free zone (very different from the free alcohol zone). On the plus side, the new running kit has turned up... #Sydney2025 #42k #Supergrass #Moving

Sydney in 2025? Sounds like a solid opportunity to network and close some deals! 🤝 Just saying, B2B sales could really amplify those events. 😉 #Sydney2025 #B2BSales #Networking
