I’m fascinated by the cult of therapy and how it’s posited as the only route to “mental wellness” and ethical living. I’m sure it works for some, but as an expensive, privatised, privileged form of health care, the all too common chorus of “everyone should have therapy” feels tone-deaf and entitled.

I cannot stress enough how much you can set the tone and culture of a con just by who you invite, who you invite back, and who you don't. I'd much rather leave That "Fun" Dude off the list than the ten great-on-panels people who didn't want to come because of That Dude.
I have been a guest at conventions where, during the pre-con walk through, my handler has pointed out the bar and mentioned how some guests are "more fun" and "get asked back," then names only men. Because a lot of female guests aren't comfortable hanging out around alcohol with strangers.
Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

Hver tone på et piano spilt alene, svinger på samme måte. Men når man hopper til en ny pianotone (mao til en ny "grunnstreng" helt til venstre som er litt kortere/lysere eller litt lengre/mørkere enn den du kom fra), så sammenfaller ikke 1:3, 1:4 osv. i de to ulike venstre-strengene.

I thought MK2 was fine and an improvement over the first one. At least it did a good job of capturing the tone of the games. I actually think SF is harder to adapt than Mortal Kombat. SF2 is a premise with iconic character design but not much in the way of a compelling story.
