tcpser to serve a BBS from real hardware? broken, uses some godawful threaded code i couldn't untangle WHY THREADING FOR FUCKING SERIAL, WHY?

Zimodem in my wifi modem? yeah you betcha it's broken

Is it a completely unhinged project? I mean, it's less unhinged than when I was using tty0tty and tcpser to route virtual modem traffic over virtual serial ports to the FOSSIL driver in the emulator, I suppose

Tomorrow I shall be playing with PlatoTermZX and tcpser, would have done that tonight only I had to use tap2mic on the Omni to write it to tape and I had the volume set wrong and I'm not very patient nowadays

Ideally I'd want to buy a USB to serial adapter and use something like `tcpser` on the USB end of it to emulate a modem but I have exactly 5¢ left in my bank account lmao

...let's just say that Rube Goldberg-esque setup is extremely breakable, and that's before you get into some of the bugs in tcpser.

All expect has to do is:
- Connect telnet
- Send RING
- Wait for ATA
- Send CONNECT 57600
- Connect the user tty to telnet stdio
- Await ATH0
- Kill telnet and exit

Now you might ask yourself, "why not just use tcpser and connect it to the qemu chardev serial emulator?" The answer is that it's extremely flaky, to put it mildly. tcpser doesn't like ptys, so you have to use tty0tty or use a forked version, and then using socat to funnel the vtty to the chardev...
