We have #TD5E now, as the circulation has developed further. As discussed before, conditions are favorable with low shear over some of the warmest waters of the East Pacific. One thing to note is the guidance shifting westward. This may allow more time over water and more intensification

The disturbance in the East Pacific has been designated Tropical Depression 5-E. The storm is expected to strengthen, w/ possible RI. Forecast track is nearly parallel to the coast, so landfall is uncertain. Dangerous flooding is expected regardless.
