#TECHBRAS
Tonally.

Okay, so it's not...eh... it's not "changed" so much as it feels like someone on the writing team was very much deep-throating some AI Techbras and wanted very much to be in the AI Techbra circles....

these techbras

like Elon Musk

live in a weird ass fantasy bubble, and even when confronted with reality

such as Elon Musk isn't very good at video games

They don't go, 'Well, I'm not the best at this and that's okay'...they cheat.

Now, I'm a gamer. I've been a gamer since games online.

AI doesn't *think*, you silly techbras. They've probably used ChatGPT to write their code; it’s inception levels of eight thumbs and oopsie we wrote a recursion all your memory got nommed by our fancy ask Eliza

It's a THRONE OF LIES
THERE IS NO
AUS TRAY LEEEYAH
NO PAINTED DESERT,
NO TACOMA

Nem precisava criar uma techbrás. Se o governo definir que agora é pra usar apenas software livre, as big techs perdem um dos seus maiores clientes.

Thing is, even IF there’s a bunch of fraud, waste and abuse in the federal gov’t, expecting a gaggle of clueless techbras to uncover it by looking at payment databases is like expecting a toddler to catch their parents cheating on their taxes by looking at tax forms. It’s not how anything works.
After taking unprecedented (illegal) access to federal data systems, DOGE has found basically no substantial waste, fraud, or abuse.

They've lied a lot but come up quite empty in reality.

If the techbras were making the world better, reinvesting in the people, and pushing democracy, you could see cutting them some slack. (not zero taxes kind of slack) But they have never done this as we can see when we look thru history. The few that appeared benevolent oligarchs were just doing PR.

Highly recommend Mountainhead to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. It illustrated this disconnect with the techbras excellently IMO
