Guys I’m on my way home and need to look at pictures before I post them but oh my god that was so amazing. Like that is the closest to the feeling I got at the Era’s tour as I have ever been. I laughed, I cheered, and I cried. Also got signed TFIOS and Looking for Alaska books!

It gets them connected—most people have at least heard of TFIOS—and then when I explain that the money goes to a project to reduce maternal mortality in Sierra Leone, most people are pretty in favor of reducing maternal mortality and like knowing that there's work happening that's actually working.

Definitely the latter. He's "faded" right back to where he was pre TFIOS, one of a few leaders of a niche internet subculture that, for its flaws, does more good than 95% of the rest of the YouTube platform. He also still writes books and does tons of TB advocacy work.
