While I'm not at all downplaying the value of China supplying Iran with targeting intel for US bases in the ME, it is also in China's interest to reduce the US stock of anti-missile munitions (Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) munitions) that PACOM would need to defend Taiwan.

While I'm not at all downplaying the value of China supplying Iran with targeting intel for US bases in the ME, it is also in China's interest to reduce the US stock of anti-missile munitions (Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) munitions) that PACOM would need to defend Taiwan.
It matters little that you and I know the USA is short of munitions but it does matter that the Iranians know. They will exploit this US weakness to the maximum extent possible. Patriot missiles, THAAD missiles & every other missile; the Iranians will use drone attacks to deplete them even more!
