Before I could finish my sentence, at least twenty police officers spilled through the fire exit, guns at the ready. Oh, this looked terrible. Big Black guy with a waif of a white woman who looked terrified? Dudes had been killed for less. Time for the window again. I was not becoming Swiss cheese tonight. I summoned my wings, and did a running jump through the window— A deafening bang echoed through the room as one of the cops shot at me, and got me in the shoulder. A deep, rolling pain shot down my arm, and when I tried to move my hand, I couldn’t. I cried out in pain, but broke through the glass and flew off to another high rise anyway. As soon as I landed, I took a good look at the wound. It was deeper than I expected, and blood was slowly oozing from it and staining my suit. My vision blurred just looking at it. I couldn’t faint here. I wouldn’t faint here. But it said something about my magically enhanced body that I didn’t die on the spot. Void swore loudly in Imirionian. “I don’t know if I can heal this completely.” “I’ll… I’ll purify the jewelry first,” I said quietly. I pulled “The Heavenly Wing” out of my pocket with my good hand—my left—and focused my energy on evicting it and sending it back to Imirion. If it wasn’t for the fact that I’d nearly died getting it, it’d be a lovely piece of jewelry, a small piece of gold and crystal in the shape of an angel wing. But even as I tried, the pain in my shoulder got worse and worse, and I cried out again, tears streaming down my face. My magic circle faltered. “You can do it,” they said quietly. “Right. Right…” I focused even harder, and punted it right back to Imirion, my magic burning through my entire body, then collapsed to the concrete.

I haven’t given up on trying to move, yet until then and considering how bad my health has gotten I have to put His Royal Wicked Thief, my interactive series, on hold for the time being. His Royal Wicked Thief required me to be able to write every day and spontaneously, and I’m not really able to do that right now. I’m sorry about this delay. No other stories are affected, I’m still releasing The Prince’s Dearest Guards book 3 this year and the two other trans BL books. I’m still trying to raise enough to move to a safe place so that I can breathe properly again and keep making these trans BL stories for you, if you like my work and want to support what I do, and if you haven’t already please consider joining my Secret Reading Club, I’ve done my best to make the tiers accessible and for the equivalent of less than two coffees you can get hundreds of trans BL chapters immediately and advanced chapters of my future unpublished works! Unfortunate health update + temporary hiatus announcement for His Royal Wicked Thief Interactive Series Hello, fellow readers, I hope you’re all doing well. As some of you may know, I’m a trans disabled author who’s been struggling with living in a home that makes me sick because of mold exposure for years now, my health gets progressively worse each year but I’ve still been unable to move because of financial issues, and... even if/when I do earn an average living wage from writing most of that is lost on medical bills, and the more I live here the more doctors I need to see because of how sick it’s making me, it’s a frankly terrible loop that is keeping me trapped in this situation and I’m worried for my future. I’m now having trouble breathing and some days I can’t even write anymore, I try to stay hopeful, but I just hope the damage isn’t permanent.
