Finished #THPdrama tonight and LOVED it. I'll take the het romance when it comes with two characters who keep trying to save the other (by risking their own life). The finale was really satisfying, the extended cast is FANTASTIC, and the plot managed a great balance of fun and feels. Highly recced!

Three eps in and yeah, that palace is haunted AF! And my goodness things are escalating quite a lot quicker than I thought they would? Very exciting, much entertained. #THPdrama
Started The Haunted Palace tonight, and enjoyed all the different plot elements! Don't think we've watched a saeguk with supernatural/fantasy elements (other than zombies...) before! And there's clearly a lot of palace drama and politics going on, which is always fun. #THPdrama

#THPdrama ep 6. OK so romance (esp het) is not my usual cup of TV, but it turns out that I quite enjoy it when there's layers of identity shenanigans and also it's FUNNY. Like. The whole "suddenly experiencing mortal desires" thing is great comedy! And it's also kind of... poignant? IDK, but I like!

Ep 4 and I'm REALLY liking The Haunted Palace! The characters are so lovable, and they have some fascinating relationships going on. The more lighthearted tone is perfect for me right now, while stakes still feel high enough for fun tension. I also have no idea where the plot is going! #THPdrama

We only have four episodes left of #THPdrama, because it's hard to stop watching! Did NOT see the sad thing OR the surprise at the end of 12 coming...! One thing I really love about the show is the excellent practical effects. Lights and costumes look SO much better than even decent CGI in my eyes.

#THPdrama ep 8: I love the extremely hissy cat dynamic between the king and Gang Cheol! Especially when the king trolls him. Also very grateful they had Yeo Ri figure things out instead of staying mad at Gang Cheol and not talking to him about something extremely important. Good yes moving on!

Oh man ep 13 of #THPdrama was INTENSE!! And of course it's a cliffhanger just when SOMEBODY (Skuld) has other commitments than TV for the night. Definitely nail-biting! And I keep being impressed by Yook Sung Jae's performance here. Also Kim Ji Hoon, who brings such gravitas to the role of king.

I'm really enjoying all the great actors in
#THPdrama! Hi Cha Chung-hwa - absolute queen. She OWNS the screen in every scene she's in, I swear. Hi Ahn Nae Sang and Lee Won Jong from The Guest! And delighted to see Kim In Kwon (the royal cook in Mr Queen) whose Chief Eunuch face journeys are AMAZING.

#THPdrama: wow, episode 13 was a LOT. I'm glad they spent time on the important thing here, even if THAT particular resolution (MY HEART, Cha Chung Hwa is KILLING IT) only made me even more worried for how badly things are going to go in the last two episodes, and the answer is... So badly?!?
