Overall #anthology rating: 2.5/10
While it has good moments, this anthology does more harm than good for the wider canon of the #empyrean .

Just finished #ThreshingDay by #RebeccaYarros. Fantastic read and I can’t wait for the 4th book in the Empyrean series to come out! Definitely going to reread the whole series before that!

#ThreshingDay Update
Finished #Sloane and #Aaric . Both are 4/10.
Yarros took characters with immense potential and wasted them. Sloane remains a puppet to serve Violet's story, while Aaric is a puppet to screech the theme.
Full #review Dec 27 ("Sloane") and Jan 3 ("Aaric").

Ok, but objectively #ThreshingDay is a very ugly looking book, right?
They just sprayed a whole can of silver paint all over it and called it a day. Even if I was a fan, I wouldn't want that tacky thing on my shelf.

#ThreshingDay Update
Finished #Ridoc (8/10, full #review Dec 13) and #Liam (6/10, full review Dec 20)
These stories are more proof that Yarros CAN write compelling character work and effective plots. It's her constant efforts to embellish and cover up mistakes that derail her.
