Just got out of a screening of "I Rarely Wake Up Dreaming" and wow!

A film with so many layers it takes a moment to appreciate how loaded each conversation is. Glad the subtitles indicating which gender forms were used in conversation but I know that is just a surface level conveyance #TIFFJP39

"Filipinana" was one of the most peaceful, slice of life movies I've seen that's also a surprise horror film?! #TIFFJP39

Just finished watching "Filipiñana" and I'm blown away by the visual beauty of it! #TIFFJP39

A slight hiccup in the middle of our screening when the Dolby sound system decided to restart itself lol but the movie continued a few minutes later.

Welllllll, I wasn't wrong with my vague memory of the plot to "Heysel 85" but it was so much more than that. It was a fascinating look at a terrible tragedy and how people react in the moment.

There was a Q&A after with the director and lead actress, too! #TIFFJP39

I spent so much time reading up on all the films I don't fully remember what they're about. I do trust my list making and ticket purchasing past self.

Starting off with "Heysel 85" tonight. The little I remember about this one is 80s football in Belgium?? #TIFFJP39
