2 Large Air Tankers and are en route to the 344 fire in South Florida from tanker base in Lake City while Very Large Air Tanker TKR914 is en route to Lake City to fill with retardant and then on to the 344 fire.

The big boys have joined the fight! A DC10 from San Bernardino, TKR914 is headed towards Pasadena. Seems the focus now is on the hills near Ravenna. The previous planes have reloaded and are heading back to Ravenna. The Canadians have joined that fight also. They have about 4 hours of sunlight left.

TKR914, a 2nd DC10 out of San Bernardino followed lead 78 to the target. The yellow lie is where the DC10 dropped the fire retardant. They go lower just before dropping. Yellow indicated a lowered altitude.

A 2nd DC10 with 9,400 gallons of retardant follows LEAD53 to the drop area, Yellow line is where TKR914 dropped his load. From two DC10's that is 18,800 gallons - 168,000 lbs of retardant!!! Thanks to ALL the aviators flying ALL the planes and helicopters fighting these fires!!!!

LEAD53 is guiding TKR103 right now .. smaller fixed wing planes frequently guide the tankers to the target drops .. watching TKR914 coming around and expecting it to close on LEAD53 for another guided delivery

The DC10, TKR914 is following a spotter plane, CFR120 and is dropping it's load just south of Temescal Peak and is headed back to San Bernardino. Video of that drop should be on the news tonight. Two more S2P's from Porterville, CFR79 and CFR83 a thried plane are dropping on Temescal Peak.
