Thing is, while I am genuinely interested in and excited to see Gerwig’s take on TMN, in a way I absolutely wasn’t about the Lion’s Gate pictures, while I have no real problem with updating it to the fifties, I simply cannot cope with the Pevensies being Nineties kids. Or, o horror, born post 2000.
Hm. Setting updated to the 1950s, which is the decade horse drawn transport started to fade. Speculating wildly, guessing Frank (and Fledge) work for a transport firm and are about to discover that the horses are being replaced by lorries…
Regardless of any mixed feelings and trepidation evoked by much of what we've seen of Greta Gerwig's The Magician Nephew, this promo image in particular is just exquisite
