I talk about this wrt fighting games, FG OSTs feel like their mixed so goddamn low and with no impact nowadays because devs feel too aware of commentary being a thing
Nothing is super bombastic anymore or really in your face. Even a game like Tokon with a strong OST still mixes it low as Hell

I think Marvel Tokon is doing terrible as well and that looks brilliant... so I think my theory that if you're not top 3, you just don't sell is still holding up. Don't make a fighting game, kids!
