They recorded how many flips it took to realize the coin was unfair.
On average, it corresponded to p = 0.005.

its not for the sake of DRM, thats not what TPM2 does.
Honestly the TPM2 requirement is fine. What gets me is the arbitrary CPU whitelist allegedly for CPUs with hardware mode-based-execution-control that...neither includes all with the feature or excludes all without.

Problem is that MS is very committed to the TPM2 stuff and so on. Possible that one day an update will prevent booting at all

Well, yes… that is why I no longer use commercial operating systems. Because they will introduce new versions that force me to do things I do not want to do (get a microsoft account, get a TPM2, use "copilot") and discontinue the old ones.
