Yeah - Star Trek is a big ask for teenagers who aren't trekkies invested in the lore 🫠
I usually throw zombies at teenage players and let them beat the crap out of em, and maybe have one get bitten and then the party has to decide what to do with them.
They tend to lock in real fast with zombies.

If I'm keeping it a buck, that was the perception I picked up on how Trekkies saw Star Trek from how fans were always depicted in pop culture

*(In the UK some schools only go up to GCSEs (exams at 16) so I went in to a different college to do my A-levels (exams at 18.) I did end up going to the college I visited on the day Tasha died, and I had a great time. Ironically, it’s where I first met other Trekkies.)

Trekkies have our own brand of nonsense, it tends to be more ship-related but I'm sure you could dig around and find something similar, like a Kirk/Spock fan who wants us all to believe that making their romance canon is central to their mental health and Paramount should apologize.
