Unless you plan on going to 2.5/5/10Gb ethernet, you should be good with a normal 1Gb unmanaged switch. Netgear, TP-Link, Trendnet are good brands. Don't go too cheap or you might find the performance isn't ideal. I use these all over work: a.co/d/0sACkCS

There are very few true 8-port 10GbE desktop switches under $500. Netgear’s ~$500 option only has 4×10GbE (rest 2.5G). QNAP tops out at 6. I grabbed the Trendnet TEG-S7102: 8×10GbE RJ-45 + 2×SFP+ for under $400.

It's a cloud managed switch by tp-link. cheaper Meraki. If your needs are simple and you don't need multiple vlans a basic trendnet 5 port or 8 port would do fine. I'm wary of cloud managed for my home because it's not my platform and if a breach happens my network isn't in my control either.
