tslkd in shambles

i somehow think that these countries would not enjoy TSLKD Economics

People should also appreciate that within the specific context of Lithuanian politics, a former leader of TSLKD, a grandson of Vytautas Landsbergis, saying this about the transatlantic relationship is... well it's a stark message, let's put it that way.
THIS!!!!!!

(Former FM of Lithuania)

The following also logically follows: the Kremlin still gives a shit about what TSLKD say enough to get offended at them specifically rather than Lithuania in general. You have no idea how happy this would make them.

Relatively certain this passage could kill a TSLKD member stone dead

it's not isolated to trans people, or Britain. it's also the response my mother gives me any time i call TSLKD an institutionally antisemitic party

Casual observation from the other side of the continent: this might be a facet of them being in opposition, but if anything TSLKD are /angrier/ than the government about America's conduct.
A lot of Americans, even liberal ones, underestimate how much anger is building up towards Washington among those British and German social groups who were once the most fervent advocates for the alliance with the United States
Seeing a lot of left-leaning people express shock at this, but it's entirely what I'd expect from the MoS, and their readers - not doing so is a classic example of not understanding your political opponents.

There is literally no good analogue in Western politics for how mad a concept a split ticket AWPL-TSLKD vote is.

A TSLKD city administration running an openly racist ad campaign? No fucking way. Kas galėjo pagalvoti
April 21, 2026 at 8:02 AM
hardly a representative way to sample but i think its somewhat telling that the only Litvak MP since 1991 is in TSLKD
Zingeris might even stab you for the very idea that Lithuanian Jews are less loyal to Lithuania than gentiles really
August 28, 2026 at 2:48 PM
No I meant Laisvės partija. TSLKD isnt even socially liberal
September 15, 2026 at 12:21 PM
This is incidentally why TSLKD are fucking criminals for doubling the price of buses, and belong in jail.
August 6, 2025 at 9:43 AM
TSLKD dying on THIS HILL of all possible hills is actually wildly insane, I'm actually losing my mind
September 18, 2025 at 8:00 PM
I know you hate hate hate TSLKD but to your credit you've never baselessly said they're plotting to become Lithuanian SNS or Fidesz

his natural inclination is to vote for the beetroot liberals but he has due to contextual and usually very technical disagreements with almost everyone in lithuanian politics ended up voting, at various times, for them, the orange liberals, TSLKD, LSDP, and - this is the funniest one - AWPL
October 2, 2025 at 9:00 PM
i only vaguely know lithuanian politics, is TSLKD seriously the only socially liberal party
September 15, 2026 at 12:20 PM
The closest thing to a codification of double genocide theory in a European Parliament resolution was introduced by a TSLKD Litvak MEP
June 26, 2025 at 10:47 PM
this is not because of their relative positions either. it is because they have different definitions of "left" and "right" and the TSLKD definition is offensive to people who actually regard /themselves/ as leftwing
June 30, 2026 at 11:44 AM
there are countries (ask me how i know) where the definition of "left" and "right" differs between parties. if you ask a TSLKD member in Lithuania if LVŽS is a "leftwing party," they will absolutely insist it is. if you ask an LSDP member, they will slap you
June 30, 2026 at 11:42 AM
Wonder if TSLKD know how close LSDP get every single time to turning off some of us when they say something so histrionic that we literally have no choice but to return to the red banner's fold.
Guys you wanna know what these allegedly apocalyptic "changes" are? It is a change in how many members of the LRT Council need to vote in favour when you are seeking to remove the general director from a two-thirds majority to a simple majority.

The LRT Council is composed of 12 people.

When Dovid Katz asks the Lithuanian people to think about the legacy of collaboration with the Nazis, he is embarrassing Lithuania abroad. When TSLKD loses their mind over an administrative change to the no confidence rules for the LRT general director, that's serious concern about civil liberties
April 9, 2026 at 9:14 AM
This way I can also avoid any writing by TSLKD voters because they have no friends.
September 14, 2026 at 3:46 PM
(The context for that one is that it was the last local elections, his sitting mayor was AWPL, and he liked him because he sounded like he was on top of things. So he voted for him for mayor.

He voted TSLKD for the council itself.

He may have been the only person to cast such a vote ever.)
October 2, 2025 at 9:08 PM
true lithuanian patriots tattoo three arrows into their bodies, want to ban the Lithuanian Free Market Institute and know that TSLKD killed juras abromavičius
February 8, 2024 at 12:02 AM
Its really funny how the only reason Gabrielius Landsbergis could lead TSLKD successfully for two entire parliamentary terms is basically because he /was/ a Landsbergis, and how literally anyone else would have been shanked dead by that party's membership for not launching into enough racist rants
