actually, you really don't have to install many mods to make KOTOR 2 playable on the PC
—obviously, you're doing PC. please be serious about this.)
—the Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM) is mandatory, but only parts of it. here's a list.
—Droid Planet is bad. Don't install it.
—it WILL crash. often.
name something trans women love more than obsessing over a dogshit old game that's borderline unplayable

This is great—TSLRCM is such a special piece of media and reading the struggles to get it into a Switch release is heartbreaking.

I released my mod for Kotor 2 called 'Kotor 2 Unofficial Patch TSLRCM Malachor V Port' that puts in the restored content from TSLRCM into another mod called 'Kotor 2 unofficial patch 1.2' Click the link for more details: www.moddb.com/mods/kotor-2...
Kotor 2 Unofficial Patch TSLRCM Malachor V Port mod for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
This is a mod that ports the additional content related to Malachor V from The Sith Lords Restored Content Modification into the Kotor 2 Unofficial Patch mod.

TSLRCM is *really* good but there are a few things they added back in that aren't balanced at all and it's incredibly jarring 😅 Nar Shaddaa is even more of a gauntlet

playing KOTOR 2's final mission rn and ngl I think in general I love the whole endgame section here (tho with TSLRCM ofc) way way more than Kotor 1

TSLRCM, my beloved.

Isn’t Aspyr supposed to be working on the KotOR 1 remake, too? And cheated people out of TSLRCM as DLC when re releasing KotOR II for the Switch?

To be quite honest, the last Star Wars anything I was truly excited for was the Switch remaster of KOTOR II because it'd be the first time console players got to play the completed game and then they didn't actually include the TSLRCM mod so. y'know. oops.

The gameplay itself isn’t bad, it’s probably even superior to KOTOR 1 (there are slightly more options in the D20 system). It’s just not even close to finished, even TSLRCM can’t fill all the holes.

Ehhhh Obsidian agreed to those deadlines, and sorta had a rep for doing that. But yes, TSLRCM is a beautiful thing. That required hundreds of additional hours of work to create because Obsidian hadn’t finished the game.

A shame that the Switch couldn't get their TSLRCM adapted version, per previous promise.

I started playing Kotor 2 with no mods for the first time a month ago, and it made me realize that the The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod adds too much stuff back into the game. I am thinking of giving a go at making a minimalist version of TSLRCM myself, but I am anxious about failing.

K2 had mildly more nuance to its DS options, but unfortunately also suffers from being K2 (ie. unfinished). TSLRCM helps but can’t fully fix the problem.

What a price!

Too bad you can't get KOTOR II's TSLRCM on a Nintendo Switch but the rest of that? Great value.

TSLRCM restores a ton of content that got cut because Lucas arts rushed it for a Christmas release. If you ever felt that Malachor V was a mess, you're not wrong, and TSLRCM restores companion interactions which differ based on how you treated them and your gender.
