Yes, genuinely, I had zero interest in the genre before (almost as if it's because they were all tacticool modern operatorslop or Arc Raiders which also looks like garbage), but to my shock, Marathon is actually good and cool and it being an extraction shooter is core to its everything.

What's fucking stupid is the world presented in Anderson's movies are much shinier, tacticool and high tech than the actual world depicted in the games so when a videogame character design like RE3 Jill Valentine shows up it looks fucking INSANE

For home defence, the optic is tacticool, yeah, but a good light is genuinely the single most valuable accessory for a home defence gun.
