Kai - small ones from a life of adventuring outside/working with Pokémon and kitchen tools. Nothing really noteworthy or spectacular. He sees them as part of learning.
Izzy - a few more severe ones from fights and accidents. Memories she'd rather forget.

I just got an incredible commission back from @senranx.bsky.social
Kai and Izzy together in her lab being cozy :3
Incredibly happy with the results! A typical goofy Kai, and a rare image of Izzy relaxing and actually looking happy.
Give Sen a follow!

Kai's is pretty much now, except with his Pokémon shelter constructed. His friends all help out, everyone wins
Izzy's is very close; the biggest difference is how she feels inside. She finds family and belonging in Kai and his friends, and purpose in her work

Kai and Wendy briefly dated on a group vacation to Alola.
Makoto and Absol schemed to break them up. They did, but it wasn't because of anything those two goobers did (It was mutual, they're friends still, it's fine).

Kai likes fall; it's finally a break from the summer heat and it means winter is just around the corner.
Spoopy Season is where Izzy is happiest. Cool weather, horror stuff center stage. She's most comfortable this time of year, physically and emotionally.

Is your original character doing anything for it?

Check the thing, it could be fun!
Ask them questions, leave them doodles, let's see how they respond!

@kujikawaii.bsky.social just did a super cute piece for me!
Chibi Izzy and Kai sharing some music (it's The Cars; Heartbeat City).
They both share a passion for Pokémon research and music. One of their earliest conversations was about bands they like!

Kai loves to explore the abandoned mansion in Eterna Forest, so he'd have a great time exploring another haunted house, too!
Izzy loves spooky things in general. They would explore together and have a blast. Izzy would probably try to scare Kai. :3

Kai falls hard and fast. He first saw Izzy last year at a show; the world stopped. Finally saw her again recently, he won't miss this chance.
Izzy has deeply rooted trauma and trust issues. She's a slow burn; argues with herself and tries to push others away.

I did one for Kai, too! This one is a bit more of a work in progress because some elements didn't work exactly like I expected, but same story here, I'll respond as I can in character. Should be fun!

Kai's a cute little guy & has dated before. He's even still friends with his ex.
Izzy's neither friendly nor trusting, so despite being very pretty, she's inexperienced in dating.
Kai charmed his way into her life and she started to fall for him.
