SALEM’S LOT (1979)
Both horror maestros Tobe Hooper and @StephenKing are back for day 4 of #TalesFromTheDarkScreen. SALEMS LOT is genuinely one of the scariest books by King I’ve read & this 1979 adaptation by Hooper was no less scary with guaranteed creepy moments!

Can’t tribute scary movies all month long without paying homage to another Wes Craven’s classic that has inspired a long franchise of horror movies: SCREAM. So here’s Ghostface for #TalesFromTheDarkScreen! LOVE this movie!

Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece (and an absolute fave horror movie of mine) is tributed for day 6 of #TalesFromTheDarkScreen.
Wanted to try something different for this one and it might be my fave so far :)

John Carpenter’s classic takes the spotlight for day 25 of #TalesFromTheDarkScreen not only because it’s one of the best horror movies ever and has gifted us the iconic Michael Myers, but also because it was released OTD 46 years ago! 🎃🔪

Back to the 70s for day 21 of #TalesFromTheDarkScreen with one of the genuinely most terrifying movies ever: William Friedkin’s classic THE EXORCIST starring Linda Blair and Max Von Sydow. Makeup and sfx are still chilling to this day.

#TalesFromTheDarkScreen day 14 brings you one of the best remakes of all times: David Cronenberg’s THE FLY! A very few can do body horror like Cronenberg- Jeff Goldblum’s metamorphosis into Brundlefly is hard to watch still to this day… brrr

I know I’ve been tributing mostly horrors from the 70s/80s, but for Day 16 of #TalesFromTheDarkScreen I had to go w Maestro @realgdt.bsky.social ’s sublime ghost story CRIMSON PEAK, which was released OTD 9 years ago. Gothic horror at its best!
