we were able to include Talisk and Fourth Moon in A Highland Song only because they're both self-published bands and so there was no record label to negotiate with
Games would be immeasurably improved by a deal between the record companies and developers/platforms opting in similar to the royalty platform brokered by the likes of the BBC and PBS but unless our trade bodies push it I cannot see it happening
This immediately makes me think about Fallout: New Vegas, where it's obvious that licensing Elvis Presley songs was too expensive, but they worked hard to still include the whole 'gang based upon Elvis Presley' in the game. I'm still impressed at the work there.

Been too busy enjoying the music at #PortFairy #Folk Festival to think about social media, needed to take a break from the world’s doom-hose and recharge, but will post a few blurry phone pics as and when.
#Talisk from Scotland killed it Friday night with their high-energy instrumentals - glorious!

Because everyone spins at music gigs, don't they?
We're at the famous #SettleVictoriaHall, the oldest Victorian Music Hall still in use in the UK, waiting for #Talisk.

Glasgow, Scotland’s Talisk has had a few different members since they formed ten years ago. This is the original threesome:
Mohsen Amini - Concertina
Hayley Keenan - Fiddle
Craig Irving - Guitar
What? No leftovers yet? Happy Thanksgiving.

Now the fire near home is under control, we’ve escaped to the Port Fairy Folk Festival for the weekend. Big boomer energy last night for Missy Higgins (they occupy tent space like it’s the Australian real-estate market). Better today for Talisk. Scottish acoustic folk meets EDM. Very satisfying.
