I have recently learned that not everyone goes on 2-5 tangents in every thought they have, and keeps track of those tangents as if they are brackets which need to be closed

I've seen far more people use tangents as a gotcha to get one over on an artist than used by people who actually care about art improvement.
It isn't that tangents shouldn't be considered, it's that sometimes art is so cool and fun that who gives a fuuuccckkkk
