Tanypteryx hageni really does seem like a real example of a living fossil. This species is estimated to be ~70 MILLION YEARS OLD. According to research by Jessica Ware, Chris Beatty and a team of field researchers we have a damn fine hypothesis with lots of evidence and sound reasoning.
