A roof tile that was produced for the Twentieth Legion at Chester by the tilery of Aulus Viducus at Tarbock, Knowsley, on Merseyside. Dating to AD167, the tile is part of the collections at the Museum of Liverpool. 📸 My own. #TilesOnTuesday #RomanBritain #Archaeology

Had a great day volunteering at @kindlingtrust.bsky.social Farm, a fantastic organic agroforestry venture in Tarbock Green, followed by a walk to Ditton Brook (grey partridge family, swallows & house martins the highlights), then onto CLP for the wood & green sandpipers again.
Now 😴 😴 😴

Its very quickly going to the dogs. Romesh is a great broascaster, but they've never properly replaced Steve Wright. Sara Cox is ace and Tarbock and O'Grady sorely missed.

Used to see him all the time when we lived in Tarbock, buying cigs and lottery tickets, TBH the was always polite and friendly, only thing I can remember is he was massive and incredibly shy.

Chuffed to have found Sphagnum squarrosum at Tarbock, Knowsley. Apparently thought to be extinct in the Merseyside area, this representing the first record for over a century. Thanks for the ID and info @joshual951
