(bonus) Turns out that script run stuck on "Installing" eventually failed with a network timeout. Obvious in retrospect, it timed out trying to reach the app files on another domain that is also blocked (stable.dl2.discordapp.net). So yes, it does work, I would just need more socat's, heh.
