Wagner Moura is set to star in Lisandro Alonso’s remake of Abbas Kiarostami’s Palme d’Or winner ‘TASTE OF CHERRY’.

The arthouse adaptation is expected to retain its meditative, existential tone. Production begins later this year.

Felt so emotional after watching #TasteOfCherry a fascinating meditative/poetic film on life & death. A simple story with deep philosophical themes. Actually, this is the best type of therapy.I will always be in awe of Iranian cinema, but what you have here is one of the best films. #filmsky (1/2)
