Tavaria had simply *forgotten*. Between Bhaal's growing influence and later her mental scrambling, it was lost like so much.

Rolan is a wizard while Tavaria is a rogue when under Bhaal's control but her innate talent as a druid emerges especially once freed from the murder god's grasp.
There's a LITTLE rivalry but mostly Rolan is just grateful to have *his* Tavaria freed from Bhaal. Plus druid means potions are abundant.

At it's core my story with Tavaria, the Dark Urge, essentially boils down to this. (except for the Cal/Lae'zel and Lia/Gale stuff anyway)

Because Tavaria/Rolan is steeped in variations of 'Love Redeems' (her from the Dark Urge, him from being a bratty arse) the lack of relationship dooms both. Tavaria's then-friendship w Lia keeps the siblings alive for now but Tavaria ultimately gives in to Bhaal & damns the whole world. #bg3oc
