#Xera'thul encountered a petrified Elder Brain many centuries ago, the creatures name was Ictari. Upon touching it, he was struck unconscious by built up psionic energy.
He saw visions of what the brains truly are, a race from the Far Realm, The Kyn of the Outside.

Now who could that be... it's Taaara! Tavanna has a surprisingly good relationship with Tara, given that they're both grumpy and protective of their pet wizard 😁

#Merelind is a bard. Her power comes from her arcane access through music. Her fave spell is Dissonant Whispers 🎶
Mer would also say she draws power from her Drow husband at her side, #Glennath ( @sacredsymbol821.bsky.social )

Rae has met githyanki before Lae'zel, but never got particularly close to them.
With Lae'zel, it was mutual respect that made them work together in the beginning. Even so, Rae thought her foolish for thinking of herself and her skills so highly. (1/3)

Before meeting Lae'zel, Tavanna had worked with V’ziir-Ag, a githzerai sage and one of the Great Readers of Candlekeep. He's known as an eccentric fellow who specializes in studying all things unnatural, mostly undead and aberrations (which later become Tavanna's central research subjects)

I don't actually have anything solid for this, but I've been meaning to! Canonically werewolves inhabit the area Juniper grew up in. Might be time to consider what wolfy encounters she had on her teenage runs through the woods as a wolfhound.

I didn't see it listed in the wiki, but Lyra always keeps at least 3 healer's kits with her. That way she has a way to stabilize someone if she doesn't have the magic to do the job.

Driders... as a drow growing up in Menzoberranzan it was a constant thread, or at least that's what #May'riiaOC 's mother kept telling her whenever she didn't do as asked.
The threat of becoming a drider was the boogey-man of May's youth.

Quaggoths!
After his exile from Menzoberranzan, Dalamus was forced to wander the Underdark. Quaggoths spotted him and gave chase.
One managed to knock him off his feet and into a small concentration of stalagmites, resulting in a spine injury.

Considering that a drider took Rae's partner of 80 years from him, it's them that had the biggest impact on him.
But it's not just that. And it's not just contempt he feels for driders, but empathy and profound sorrow. He knows all about their cruel fate. (1/4)

Growing up in Damara and its harsh climate and winters, I can imagine Vanquish growing up with folk tales, myths and omens of Winter Wolves told by her theatre and wider family. I can see young thrill seeker Vanquish seeking them out, enraptured by their tales and danger.
