cw/ murder & mention of cannibalism ig
Among my trio, Diss has the highest (shocker ik😂)
Being a durge, they started to suffer the murderous pull and hunger in their early teens
As soon as it started, it was only a matter of time before the hunger led +

For all their evil flaws & political differnces... I do actually like #Molvayas & #Verdigris. 😅
But don't get me wrong. One trick to making evil characters likeable is to make for them even worse antagonists.

We all have them. (If you don't then what are you even doing?! 🤭)
Which one of your Tav, Durge or OC's do you love to hate? Are they too kind? Too evil? Too smart? Too dumb? Too gullible?
(With thanks to @shandoraexplorer.bsky.social for inspiration!)

That would be Iosefkannon, or Kannon, my unrepentant, bitter bhaalspawn. Born sickly, he was considered a disappointment from the start, barely able to leave the temple, let alone slay victims for his father's glory. His mother dispised him,
On the surface, Keryth isn't powerful. He's "just a bard" with a Shadow Dragonmark - but his Dragonmark is growing with time. And because he is the first born of Thuranni as a Dragonmarked house - he is destined to become quite powerful--

Ain’t nobody going book hungry that’s for sure. And it is what Book Goblin commands.

- all "Curse of the Vampyre" books go into Astarion's inventory
- no gems for Astarion in Act 1 to make sure the profits are fairly shared
- after the vampire reveal, I put a scarf on him because chomps ain't as inconspicuous as he thinks (scarf may be dropped in Act 2 bc things are so

Xandros may lack magic compared to most paladins, but he makes up for it with strength. He hits hard and can take a beating.
He doesn't feel pain and is immune to poisons and necrotic spells because he can naturally seep necrotic essence. #xandros

well, it's gotta be 'mushroom' music, right? psychedelic electronics that leave you with a strange thrumming feeling in your mind. 'learning to relax' by dan deacon might be the best example:

i've got nowhere to go or show you,
just take me out of my mind~

So Tanis has an apartment in Baldur’s Gate, but it is literally just a place to store stuff they can’t take with them while out adventuring with Minsc. Glorified storage unit that sometimes the two of them sleep in between jobs. Tanis is also used to not comfortable living conditions.

........... *Sighs*........... Xiyomache puts most of my OCs to shame w/ how far she leans Chaotic Evil. Fulfilling her role as Durge by essentially recreating what the Illithid scientists did to any/all she comes across, tho w/ a necromancy twist

Ares has been hit with an awful case of sharing his honest thoughts and feelings whenever he tries to lie. 🤷♂️
It's not even that noticeable since he really isn't keeping huge things tight-lipped until Ares can be seen getting more worked up every time he opens his mouth.

why the lord of rot, of course.
Gullistan Horne, The Dieback, blighted exile of the Seelie Court
He's the worst sort of person; the embodiment of entitlement, a man who refuses to understand 'no'.
For better or worse, he's my OC too.

I think Folk fits Ares the best, and mostly what I gravitate to with him in mind. To find deeper meaning it it, it probably has to do with the theming of his story and how important (his parents, often conflicting) culture is in his narrative and shapes a lot of his reality and self.

1. You Don't Own Me by Leslie Gore - peak bby Rav energy
2. You're the Inspiration by Chicago - lore accurate bardic inspo!
3. When I Fall in Love by Nat King Cole - man does she have a squishy heart. She loves love. It just rarely loved her back.

It is no secret that I based Colette on Lilith from Diablo. As such, I feel quite comfortable giving Colette the same amount of power. Yes this is well beyond the capabilities of a normal succubus. However, as Colette is the child of a god I feel this is ok.

A perhaps lesser discussed Augfact that's come up a bit today, but worth knowing, is that our doctor is actually rather adept at handling spirits. He was crafting spirit wards for the town back when Dolly first met him, and knows his way around remedies to guard or cleanse such things.

Ares is a little strange for a wizard in that he's always had an affinity towards magic, necromancy namely, more comparable to a Sorceror's youth. But he's naturally studious, so he taught himself to harness the weave with the guidance of books before some schooling and later, Masters.

Ah, well. Those who know me well will tell you I'm allergic to overpowerful characters. I like 'em suboptimal, hogtied by principles, or with power trapped behind great cost.
The Endless Truth *is* capable of such power - but at the cost of Augustine.
His life, his soul, both.

Ares is much the same way as Lyra, so while he isn't confident it will work, he does attempt pull her away for a drink and meal, hoping it will provide a window for someone else to step in and help her. If not, at the very least he can keep her preoccupied with some company and good food 🙂↕️

Tathtarel, my embrace durge!
He is absolutely the worst. He even exists in Halla and Gilnor's canon - it was him that passed Bhaal's blood to Gilnor after they fought to the death. Tath's game was if he had killed Gilnor instead.
So yes, I hate him for that 😂
