A fantastic carved rock crystal hippopotamus amulet on a gold bail to be worn as a pendant from ancient Egypt circa 2050-1650 BCE!
Hippo amulets symbolized the goddess Tawaret, guardian of pregnant women, and protecting against evil spirits!

Tawaret is the most recent example, but yes absolutely.
Also the balletic hippos in 'Fantasia' if you really want to go back.

Did you know: in her infinipregged state, Tawaret weighs

This just might be my first ever commission that's fanart of an established character. I loved Tawaret in Moon Knight, her presence, her size (wink), her attitude, just her everything was incredible. I've seen plenty of fanart of Ammit and thought it wasn't fair that Tawaret doesn't have the same.

It was a completely original and bonkers show, and I LOVED it.
It's rare to find shows so creatively strange, and you just need to embrace it. The multiple personalities, the Egyptian hippopotamus-headed goddess Tawaret -- truly crazy good.
Sit back and enjoy the ride.

So here she is, the goddess of motherhood, fertility and occasionally judging the dead (in the MCU at least), the Great One herself, Tawaret! (Art is @jebriodo.bsky.social) Hippos are as much at home in the water as elsewhere, maybe more, so I thought the big lady would look great cooling off. :)

Volix is average nerdy alien dude, working as a teacher in Tawaret-4, though what is unusual is that he is capable of being pregnant, and usually ends up pregnant quite a lot, This leads to quite the weight gain and a serious case of man-breasts.
