My cousin has died. She was sent home three days after brain surgery. My family is angry with the hospital and not the political parties that have been gutting our healthcare. I can't say anything because then I'm just politicking.

By redirecting wealth tax revenue into healthcare, housing, and Kaupapa Māori solutions, Te Pāti Māori offers a transformative vision for Aotearoa centred on dignity, economic justice, and Tino Rangatiratanga.

🍃🌹🌿 #TePatiMãori #tax plan, like #Greens, means the wealthiest 3% of people pay more tax while the rest-"almost everyone"-would pay LESS. #TPM say the first $30,000 income =tax-free #nzpol www.1news.co.nz/2026/08/26/t...

Sadly, #Labour’s Chris Hipkins says it’s "unlikely" #TePatiMãori will have senior roles in a Labour-led coalition, but "Labour's door is open" to #Opportunity as far-RW Billionaires support pushes #Opp up the polls. Opp is #Libertarian, like ACT #nzpol www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/...

Whoever is in power after the election will inherit these abhorrent military projects & alliances.

Te Pāti Māori has explicitly talked of ending them. I hope others follow.

Te Pāti Māori is proposing to establish a Parliamentary Commissioner for Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Supporting this kaupapa is the very least that other parties can do to honour Te Tiriti. Any party that doesn't can get in the sea, I say.

Full proposal text is in the reply.

Contrast Labour’s underwhelming approach with that of the Greens and Te Pāti Māori, who both shared forward thinking policies over the weekend.

Te Pāti Māori is leading the way. About time that others saw the necessity of this kaupapa. Been waiting far too long for NZ to end its alliance with an imperialist US war machine that spreads terror everywhere.
