Far too philanthropic for a techbeast like Bezos! If I was a multibillionaire I’d be building schools, libraries, hospitals, parks, investing in clean energy and funding worldwide vaccines and research to end cancer and life limiting diseases. NO ONE needs more than a few £million to live well!
Bezos could retrieve something from the disaster of his ownership of the @washingtonpost.com by emulating the Scott family in 1932. Give the paper away and endow it with, say, $1.5 bn. And have an independent trust run it in the public interest.
