City staff and the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station presented a long-form update on the Flock ALPR camera network in La Cañada Flintridge: roughly 50 fixed cameras, an annual cost staff estimated at $150,000'$160,000, and strict LASD-controlled access with a 30-day retention policy. Police described how ALPR systems work, retention and sharing rules, and strengthened audit and training measures; council members and public pressed for accessible data and independent auditing.

The county sheriff told Benton City Council that ALPRs help solve serious crimes and that the department is moving to Axon for better audit trails and lower cost; he acknowledged public privacy concerns and said misuse would be handled as officer misconduct.
