We've always let both kids read whatever they wanted. They read a lot of (Belgian) Comics, Mangas, ... and also serious books (that they asked for or bought themselves). Stop annoying your kid by ranking what they read, and the rest will come naturally (Teen2 even joined a book club at school).

Well, I just sacrificed a lime to clean the pen stains off one of Teen2's shirts. Between that and the gall soap, I managed to remove most of them. One less drink, one more clean shirt... 😅 Also, I just noticed @aliettedebodard.com 's post... I'm afraid I'm not helping... #LaundryRoomSacrifices 😁

Teen2 was up at 5.30 to go look round Edinburgh uni today with a friend. I sort of hope he doesn’t like it because if he does that’ll mean a child at each end of the country. Their main ambition is to eat a deep fried Mars Bar.

Teen 1 gets into halls today. Not the right hall because that has a gas leak, so is now in a random place about 4 miles from the campus. 😭
They’re refunding the first week’s rent so at least he’ll have some bonus beer and pizza money.

Teen1 has headed off for adventures in Aerospace Engineering. It’s an early start because they’re going via an open day for Teen2 (I can’t believe we’re straight back into it again!) which means my being sad is tempered by having to wake up so early. 😂😭

Teen2 sliced their foot open last night on a screw. Blood everywhere, fingernail sized gouge on ball of foot. 111 recommend tetanus shot so sent them to Out of Hours which is actually in A&E so I’ll probably see them again in about 3 days. 🙄

Started Kaos with Teen2. Jeff Goldblum is great & the soundtrack is fab. When I saw it was modern I thought the premise would be redundant gods dying out so its interesting to see how a Greek pantheon might have continued - rock festivals & human sacrifice etc. #kaosnetflix
