The granite tramway (constructed out of stone) runs from Haytor quarry and used to run all the way to the Stover Canal near Teignmouth. It was used to transport granite in oxen-drawn carriages. Built in 1820, it features rails, points and sidings all constructed out of granite. Well worth a visit.
