I don’t want to be perceived, yet I am here. Being perceived. I did my makeup anyway, just for my psych teleheath appointment. I ain’t happy about it, so I can’t do my regularly scheduled autistic masking smile. BUT my makeup eats a bit 😒😏

Medicare support for telehealth visits expires at end of December unless Congressional action is taken. I really appreciated the teleheath option when I got Covid a year or so back. Simplified getting Paxlovid prescription when I didn’t feel like going anywhere. @harriscodemocrats.bsky.social

This is actually on Congress. The approved uses of teleheath were expanded by Congress during COVID, but that exemption is coming to an end. Congress can pass another exemption if they want to.

Grim Grinning Ghost and I are getting ready for the workday and he has proposed doing all teleheath sessions with the therapist (me) lying on the couch in biking shorts by the fire.
(He made a good argument for it, but no. People deserve both upright and pants in a therapist)

I just finished teleheath with my therapist & it was a great session. My aunt had asked me if I could take a call with my therapist on the road with her & I looked at her like she had two heads. Another person present who can listen isn't how I can do therapy. It needs to be a totally private convo.

As a recovering nerd, it amazes me how many psychiatric doctors don’t have their camera behind their keyboard when performing teleheath video calls.
