Nice bloke in the Telstra shop sorted it out in 15 minutes… something impossible online or on the phone apparently. Telstra has now sent me 11 repeat 11 emails, all of which are gibberish.
Now going to a Telstra Shop to see if they can sort out what is apparently utterly and totally beyond Telstra to do on the phone or online. Not optimistic.

My Telstra saga into its 4th week now, in which they have abruptly cut off my landline. 47 minutes wait to speak to a “consultant” and got absolutely nowhere. My “Case manager” not available. The epic incompetence at Telstra is mind blowing, eye watering. It’s fucked.

Trying again today to get my Telstra landline to work. So far, I’ve been put through to 3 different people at Telstra. None of whom is any fucking help.
A cheerful email from Telstra today to say my landline has been reconnected. Great! Except that you can’t dial into it or out from it. Apart from that, it’s working fucking fine Christ they are hopeless.

Breaking: Telstra has admitted in Estimates they were repeatedly warned since 2022 by the software manufacturer that their outage-causing software was out of date inc a reminder early 2026, & Telstra even discovered a “fault” with it themselves in Oct 2025, but still did nothing.

It has always been a rite of passage for all residents to slowly develop a visceral hatred for Telecom/Telstra. My view is their name should be changed to their usual nickname “Bloody Telstra”.
