I'm unsatisfied with the terminology other journalists are using to describe what happened Tuesday. Betting sites classified a "blue tsunami" as Democrats getting 51 Senate and 235 House seats, so getting 56/264 is a different category.

I think some people use that terminology out of ignorance maybe, but actual news orgs have a responsibility to have some sort of minimal knowledge of the things they're reporting on. it's not okay to use slurs!
